When adding a link to a candidate (in edit) I can add a link. I can choose from a list of categories or "other". This is useful but insufficient for my purposes. I need something like a description field associated with the link. An example is when a candidate shares a bunch of websites she's created. Each one is not really a "porftolio". They are really work samples. And I'd like to be able to see at a glance (jog my memory) what each one is without having to click through it.

Dan Arkind Hi Bill,
Those link attributes are really not for that case... for what you are talking about I'd dump links & assets into a note.
Hope that helps.

Bill Burcham Thanks Dan. I find that I need to refer often to those links. Having them on the front tab ("Overview") and at the top, makes them readily accessible. Burying them in the Notes tab, in a stream of ongoing notes means I have to click to get to the notes tab then visually scan through all the notes to find the links. That's why I don't find Notes appropriate for this task.

Dan Arkind Hear ya.
Building simple UIs that service the needs of 1000s of customers is hard.
Let's see if this one gets voted up.

Bill Burcham Just so we all understand, I am proposing adding a "description" field to the "add a link" form (see attached image). The "Links" section in Overview>Contact would show descriptions, not just favicons.
