We do not send offer letters for our 1099 Advisors as they are contractors. We send applications/contracts, agreements that require signatures. Would like to see the DocuSign/Adobe Sign to the integration. This will help our offices in efficiencies.
I confess to not being an expert in your business, or understanding precisely the circumstances, but I suspect this might just be a nomenclature problem. If, at the end of your process, you need to send information to someone you want to hire and ask them to sign it - I'm pretty sure you can just create an offer template called something else (like 1099 advisor) and send it to the candidate for signature.
