Declining a candidate in JobScore is very straightforward...we'll even email the candidate for you. Here's how you decline a candidate:
- While viewing a candidate's record, on the right side you'll notice the "Job Assignments" section. (Of course, your candidate needs to be assigned to a job before being able to decline him/her.)
- Find the job for which the candidate should be declined and in the action list beneath the job title, select Declined.
- At this point, you will need to decide if you want to email the candidate. JobScore gives you three options:
- No Email which means just that; this option updates the candidate's stage to "Declined" but does not send an email
- Customize Email...which updates the stage to 'Declined" and gives you the opportunity to edit the templates before sending.
- Send Template which updates the stage to "Declined" and allows you to choose which template to send. Here's some more info about the standard decline template verbiage.
- If you selected Customize Email, a new page will display and you'll be able to write your personalized subject and message to the candidate. Click Send.
Wouldn't it be great to decline multiple candidates at the same time? You can do that too! Here's how:
- Click Candidates to get to the "Candidate Manager."
- You may need to refine the filter so that the candidates you need to decline display in the "Candidate Manager."
- Click the checkbox for the candidates you want to update.
- Using the "Change Stage" dropdown list at the top of the table (don't use the "Action" column), select Declined.
- At this point, you will need to decide if you want to email the candidate. JobScore gives you two options when updating multiple candidates:
- No Email which means just that; this option updates the candidate's stage to "Declined" but does not send an email
- Standard Email which updates the stage to "Declined" just like the other options and sends the standard decline candidate email template. Here's some more info about the standard decline template verbiage.
