How are tasks related to a candidate's stage?

Tasks and the candidate's stage are completely separate. One has no impact on the other in JobScore. Tasks are designed for you to manage the "list of stuff that needs to get done" while the candidate's stage tells you where a specific candidate is in the hiring process for a specific job.
