Dan Arkind Hi Alex,
I assume you are talking about the job application confirmation email sent from JobScore... this is a message sent to everyone who applies for one of your jobs. Not that long ago we added the ability to customize this per job, but we haven't added the ability to customize it per source and auto-send responses. If that's what you are looking for, could you please let us know what that is.
In our experience as recruiters you generally want to have a look at someone's profile before sending any sort of communication - and we make this super easy to do using our email templates - so if you want a different first response for referrals vs. job board applicants, you can easily create that using email templates - and filter lists by source and bulk--send. Would that meet your needs?
Furthermore, recent GDPR legislation makes this sort of auto processing and categorization of candidates either of questionable legality, or you'd have to disclose that you are doing it...

Alex Chan Hi Dan,
Yes - I am looking to auto-send after a candidate applies with a different message depending on source. This would save the step of having to go into JobScore and manually send.
This request actually came to mind as we are thinking about GDPR and what info we need to disclose to candidates when their info comes into JobScore. The use case I'm solving for is when an agency submits a candidate. I first want to check with the candidate to make sure he/she has consented to applying at Figure Eight rather than just sending the typical email saying 'thanks for your application and we'll be reviewing your profile.'
Does this make sense? I'm still learning about GDPR and the do's and dont's so I have a very limited knowledge at the moment of how to proceed.
Thanks,
Alex

Dan Arkind Hi Alex,
What to do with agency submissions is a good question. Our approach to GDPR is notification based, meaning we make it easy to notify candidates what your data practices are...
Our current plan (being implemented this week) is to include a notification to any candidate that didn't apply themselves the first time you email them through JobScore. This would be a simple footer with a link that points to your recruitment data privacy statement.
So, inbound applicants are notified when the apply, and people who you (or search firms) add directly to your account would receive a notice by email - but it would just be included in the footer of normal correspondence, not an automated message (which could be weird).
Feel free to email us directly at gdpr@jobscore.com should you have additional ideas or questions.

Separately, if you want to be extra cautious, you'll probably want to make sure that your agencies that submit European resident candidates are GDPR compliant themselves...
