How do I change a candidate's workflow stage?

Start by navigating to the candidate's record.  The easiest way to do that is to type their name in the quick search control at the top of the page.

  1. In the right-hand column of the candidate's page, there's a "Job Assignments" card.  If a candidate is assigned to a job, you'll see the job title and a workflow stage beneath it.  If a candidate isn't assigned to any jobs, there is no workflow stage to update.  It's possible to have a candidate assigned to multiple jobs, and there is always a workflow stage for each job assignment.
  2. Below the job title, you'll see a workflow stage like "new" in a select drop-down. Click on it, and a menu will appear.  Select the desired workflow stage for the candidate in the menu, and their stage will be updated.
  3. You can also use the select drop-down with the workflow stage on the candidate manager.

You can also update the workflow stage of multiple candidates at the same time.  Here's how:

  1. Click the Candidates tab to navigate to the Candidate Manager page.
  2. Click the checkbox for the rows of all the candidates you want to update.
  3. When you check on a row, a "Change Stage" control will appear above the table.  Click to open it and select the workflow stage you want to apply to all selected candidates (e.g. "Declined").  When you choose the stage, it will be updated for all of the selected candidates.

Users with the Owner or Admin access level can add, remove, and reorder workflow stages on the Workflow Stages page.  Workflow stages are not always the same for each job.
