It would be useful to have a "Recruitment Only" Requisition status so we can work on a position confidentially, internally. For example: If an employee isn't performing well and we want to prepare a pool of candidates and attach it to a requisition with the expectation that the vacancy will be opening up in the near future, that would be useful.

We aren't looking to post it, nor do we want employees to see the requisition. We need to have the ability to recruit and add candidates to the requisition and choose who internally (like the department manager) can work on the requisition along with the recruiter.

The Draft Status doesn't let you add candidates so that's out.

Internal Status allows all employees to see the requisition so that's out.

Hold Status is a good work around, but you can't add candidates from LinkedIn. (Maybe adding the ability to export from Linkedin in this particular status solves the problem)

Tagging is always good and we use it all the time, but we are looking to tie these candidates to an actual future position. This way when we are ready to open it, we have a pool of candidates interviewed and ready to go.

Creating another account to work on these is not what we are looking to do.

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for writing in and the suggestion - we've certainly had to work on replacement roles in the past and understand how sensitive they are.

We refer to this enhancement internally as a "confidential job" - we've described it as a job that only appears for a specific set of users in your account (sort of like how confidential access works now, but for the entire job, not just a set of fields) vs. just being for a specific recruiter(s) - as we assume you'll need other people on the hiring team to access them as well.

It sounds like you want this to work like any other OPEN & Unpublished job and just restrict access if I understand things correctly.

There is an old-school workaround you can ask your account manager about, but it's far from elegant.

Thanks for resurfacing this idea and we'll take a second look at it and see if we can figure out how to get it out the door.

    Thanks again,

    Dan Arkind

    Hi Dan,

Thanks for responding so promptly, it's appreciated. I spoke with our awesome account manager yesterday and the best work around for what we are doing was to use it in the "Hold" status which allows us to continue to recruit/work the requisition, while keeping it private to the recruiter and any attached team members. We can also upload resumes which is great since this would be recruiter based activity only. So this status seems to be a great workaround for direct recruiting activity, but it doesn't allow you to export from LI into a "Hold" status.

Is there a way to allow the "Hold" status to accept Exported resumes from LI?

For clairty - is this about the LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect (RSC) integration or just manually loading resumes and profiles into JobScore?

If I am sourcing on Linkedin and have a resume I would like to export into a Job that is in the "Hold" status, it doesn't show up as an option. I have download each profile resume into a pdf, and then upload it.

It would be nice/easier if I could export into that job directly from Linkedin.

Understood.  For now, please try using the bulk import feature.  it's the last option in the right column on the add candidate page.

As long as you put all of those files in a folder and .zip them up, you should be able to bulk load them and assign them to a any job in your account.

If that's not 100% clear, please ask your account manager for a hand!
